Who We Are

CINESLATE is a cinematic moodboard and visual storyboarding workspace. You can contact us at support@cineslate.app.

Information We Collect

• Account and license information: email address, license serials, plan type, seat count, activation status, account status, and related timestamps.
• Device and app information: device identifiers used for license seats, app version, platform, activation and refresh timestamps, and basic diagnostics needed to keep licensing working.
• Purchase information: checkout references, order identifiers, subscription identifiers, plan details, and fulfillment status. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored by CINESLATE.
• Website and Quickboard Lite analytics: page visits, heartbeat pings used to estimate people online, Quickboard Lite export counts, browser user-agent information, IP-derived technical data, and a browser-stored anonymous client id.
• Shared link content: if you use sharing features, uploaded board files, images, videos, metadata, settings, comments, view counts, download counts, visitor keys, and share access events may be stored so the shared link can work.
• Support and feedback: your name if provided, email if provided, message text, serial, device information, app version, and technical details needed to respond and prevent spam.

What Stays On Your Device

Desktop projects, boards, local media, and Quickboard Lite boards are generally created and edited on your own device or in your browser. We do not receive those files unless you choose a feature that sends them to us, such as shared links, feedback, account/license services, or another online workflow.

How We Use Information

• To create accounts, activate licenses, manage seats, verify subscriptions, and prevent license abuse.
• To provide downloads, updates, shared links, Quickboard Lite, and website availability controls.
• To process purchases and fulfill license access after checkout.
• To measure basic product usage, such as downloads, active app seats, website visitors online, shared link views, and Quickboard Lite exports.
• To respond to support requests, investigate errors, secure the service, and improve CINESLATE.

Cookies and Local Storage

We may use cookies or browser storage to keep you signed in, protect admin and account sessions, remember shared-link access, and create anonymous website or Quickboard Lite analytics identifiers. You can clear cookies or local storage in your browser, but some account, share, and analytics functions may reset or stop working.

Payments

Purchases may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Lemon Squeezy or Stripe. They process payment details under their own privacy and security practices. CINESLATE receives the information needed to confirm an order, create or update a license, and manage subscriptions.

When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate CINESLATE, including hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, licensing, support, and security. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain licenses and purchase records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and secure the product. Shared links may expire or be deleted. Analytics session records are kept for a limited period and may be aggregated into counters.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

• You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your account or license.
• You can delete local projects and media from your own device at any time.
• You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser.
• You can ask us to revoke or delete shared links that are associated with your account or license where we can verify ownership.

Children

CINESLATE is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Use

If you use CINESLATE from outside the country where our servers or providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws different from your own.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our product, services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new last updated date.
