Desktop app
- Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit), or macOS 13 or later. Both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs are supported.
- Processor: a modern 64-bit multi-core computer suited to your media workflow.
- Memory: aim for 8 GB RAM as a starting point; 16 GB or more is recommended for large boards, high-resolution images, and video-heavy work. These are starting recommendations, not a guarantee for every project.
- Storage: installation size varies by release. Keep additional free space for updates, source media, libraries, cache, and exports. Optional Smart Features download further components and models.
- Display: 1920 × 1080 or higher provides more working space. Available space also depends on your operating system's display scaling.
- Graphics: keep your graphics drivers up to date. Performance depends on the GPU, media, board size, and enabled tools; an NVIDIA GPU is not required for general board editing.
Internet access
Account sign-in, licence activation and refresh, purchases, downloads, updates, shared links, feedback, and other online services require internet access.
Local editing can continue while your licence remains valid, but online features and licence refresh need a connection. Allow access to CINESLATE website and API domains through any firewall, VPN, or network filter.
Browser tools and shared links
Use a current browser with JavaScript enabled for Quickboard Lite and shared links. Browser support for image, audio, video, and export formats can vary. Larger boards use more memory.

Media and exports
Supported media behaviour depends on the app build, operating system, codecs, and browser. Large images, video previews, PDF or HTML exports, and combined boards can require additional memory and processing time.
Keep source media in accessible local folders and avoid moving or deleting files while a project is open.
Smart Features
Smart Features may need optional local components, model downloads, and additional memory or GPU resources. The requirements depend on the tool and model. Some tools can run on the CPU; compatible GPU acceleration can improve performance where supported.
You can defer optional component installation and continue using the features already available.
